LGBS is an active member of national and international organisations for IT and Outsourcing businesses. The fact that we participate in the life of this particular business environment helps us to shape our working world and build our credibility and confidence among our partners – the commodities that are so valued in everyday business contacts. IAMCP – International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners – is open to over 5000 Microsoft partners from all over the world. Apart from many events focused on technology IAMCP stages numerous business meetings both locally and on an international basis. The association actively influences the course of legislation by taking part in discussions on intellectual property rights, copyrights and many other areas. By means of active networking the association facilitates mutual contacts and support between companies. The LGBS President – Wojciech Wolny – has a seat on the council of the European division of the association. PIIT - Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT) has been active since January 1993. It functions on grounds of the Law on Chambers of Commerce of 30 May 1989 and ‘is authorised to issue opinions and assess the implementation and functioning of the legal regulations concerning business activity’. ‘Due state administration bodies should give the chambers of commerce any information necessary to execute their statutory objectives’. On the above-mentioned basis the Chamber has the right to lobby in economic matters essential for the IT and telecommunication sector. The Chamber associates business entities dealing with the sector of telecommunications and information technology. At present, the Chamber unites over 150 companies represented there by their delegates. Within political and administrative circles, the Chamber is viewed as a reliable and constructive partner in discussions and negotiations. PIIT has been active also internationally as a member of WITSA. The Chamber deals also with the promotion of Polish IT and ICT market and the companies operating in this sector. It co-organizes Congresses of Polish Information Technology and provides patronage for the most important ICT events. At the moment we intend to focus on the promotion of the Polish IT market and achievements of Polish businesses in the European market. In doing so we will take advantage of the Polish Presidency in the EU in the second half of 2011. USPCC - The Polish - American Cooperation Council is an association of companies and natural persons aiming to establish business relations between Poland and USA. In order to do that the USPCC cooperates with Polish and American organizations in the field of economy, science and administration. The special partner of the USPCC on the American side there is the US - Polish Trade Council - USPTC. GSC – Global Sourcing Council is an international organization seated in New York aimed at popularization of responsible outsourcing. The mission of the Global Sourcing Council is to promote an exchange of ideas and information among businesses, trade organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academia; to discuss and define practices in global sourcing; and to encourage progressive economic growth leading to increased trade, investment and social good, all with an aim to increase knowledge, deepen trade relations and broaden commercial and cultural ties among nations. |
